WAS: What Adults are Saying about a Two-Time Traitor
Such action used to bring gallows. Now its brought indifference.
Amid the mammoth amount of information sewage that flows from the 47 White House and his obedient minions is occasionally, a truth. A concept largely foreign to these muckraking rogues, when it happens it is almost always unintentional. When the error is realized a psychotic, back-babbling, Orwellian verbal clean-up starts by even more bootlicking flunkies who wish to remind us the truth spoken isn’t really what’s happening at all. The experience evokes an earlier time in America—like watching a Fellini movie while tripping.
Two recent examples to wit: Amid 47’s recent, mentally-ill rant before Congress he mentioned several times that an unelected carpetbagger—so evil that both his names are four-letter words— was indeed the head of sweeping government cost-cutting. No one doubts this except just two weeks before his administration asserted to a Federal judge that “no one” was the head of such actions. I’m sure the court would enjoy knowing that has changed.
Then, while nursing America’s latest hangover from said speech, it was revealed that not only has military aid to Ukraine been suspended but so too, real-time battlefield intelligence. The initial action was a retaliatory by-product (does 47 behave in any other way) from an embarrassing White House double-team of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on February 28th. It means the flow—something that occurs at an important, but not instant pace—of war materiel would stop. But the second step, neatly folded into a 47 information dump liked chopped veggies into a Denver omelette, have immediate implications. Now, combatants in a war theater can no longer expect practical information like “don’t go down that street, the enemy is around the corner.” To add further insult guess which business magnate’s company controls the satellites that facilitates that information flow. Correctomundo Jose, its Elon!
Now, on planet earth—where when an ally intentionally stops supporting war efforts midstream to abet the enemy—there is a clear word and concept that describes such action. It’s called treason. As the history of world states and militaries go, treason is not taken well. It gums up the game leaving players to guess whose killing whom. Wars can’t easily withstand such ambiguity and it’s a disaster for bomb builders. Where’s the latter to send the invoice? That’s why it’s so typically met by the most severe of military or civil penalty—often delivered on an expedited schedule.
But the elusive 47 had already played that card once and got away without said sanctions. As leader of the appalling January 6th insurrection, most Americans patiently waited for his comeuppance on lesser, but serious charges where his goose would be cooked but not hanged. Then several whores from the Supreme Court exchanged more dough for their souls and testes so they wouldn’t—and now couldn’t—hoe no more. Gleefully, 47 skipped down a mind-bending campaign trail that brought his White House return. The wheels of civilian justice—to which the country expected dispensed accountability—failed miserably in this instance. So bad did it get, government documents that were the objects of 47’s criminality, were returned to him as personal items. Thank God Lady Justice is blind so that she couldn’t witness such appalling heartbreak.
Now as a lumpy Benedict Arnold, 47 has again played the treason card—and again—with real time consequences. Why 47 is keen to galvanize an axis with Putin is surely for something nefarious though the specifics remain something of a speculative parlor game. But really the specifics don’t matter. Had Putin successfully planted one of his old KGB buds within the White House he couldn’t get more favorable results that what 47 does.
As suggested here recently, being clubby with Putin is one of only two things about what Trump is really up to. (The other is self-enrichment from public funds). All other stuff is performative theater that feeds his ego, signals his conspirators and puts the judiciary on overtime. Any batting average from those court skirmishes above the Mendoza Line, the White House figures, is gravy. Methods used to achieve this matter little and all the predictable things that 47 has always done all day, every day, is simply to stoke confusion so the world will ignore his pillaging. The behavior is as constant as it is predictable and as such hardly meets the definition of “news.”
In this context treason is simply another tactic used among felonious friends. Having already leveraged fraud, sexual assault, grand theft and who knows what else for personal gain, 47 is indifferent to his magnitude of law-breaking. After all laws are for suckers and just irksome hurdles in front of his Putin bromance and Fort Knox pursuits.
Amen.
